Korea is destroying Venezuela, 7-0. It's the bottom of the 3rd. I want to know exactly what Luis Sojo was thinking starting Carlos Silva over Felix Hernandez. I'm going to go with Luis Sojo = El Davey Johnson.
The Korean team looks fantastic. The fielding is crisp, the pitching is sharp, and this is the team to beat. Well, I guess this game is win or go home, so yeah, whatever team you're playing becomes the team to beat. But you understand what I'm getting at.
The game is on ESPN and Joe Morgan is commentating. SIGH.
Team USA plays Japan tomorrow, and Thank God they started Roy Oswalt over Jake Peavy.

As for starting Oswalt
Doesn’t this mean that if they get to the Championship game against Korea Peavy will start? This instinctly tells me that we would be doomed. Let’s beat Japan first.

I had to read that like 4 times
But yes. We are putting our best up against Japan, because if we don’t beat Japan, there’s not much left to do other than wish we’d beaten Japan.
I’d much rather beat Japan and then Jake Peavy suddenly remember why he won a Cy Young Award and turn Korea into a laughingstock.

that the Korean DH won the triple crown in korea. At least like 15 in one AB.
