Around SBN: Lakers Should Trade Andrew Bynum So He Doesn't Go To Waste

Imaginary Game Wrap

Ah, the Rockies got their first win! And it doesn't count!

Somehow we wound up making 163 comments on a game that we created. I didn't think we'd get over 25. Thanks goes out to jrockies, theoldgrizzlybear, denver_sc, Jabberwocky, BlakeBomber, DbacksSkins, Mondogarage, Rox Girl, Hizilla, RockiesDave, Jester76, Redhawk, and brian8065 for fueling my unconventional game thread.

In real game play, the Rockies did play a "B" game today. What happened? Ah, the Rockies got their first win! And it doesn't count! From Troy Renck:

Jason Marquis threw three scoreless innings and hasn’t been scored on this spring. Though there were a few line outs mixed in, Marquis’ induced groundballs with his heavy sinker. Glendon Rusch followed, surrendering just two hits in two innings. His fastball touched 89 miles per hour. [...] In his best outing of the spring, Josh Fogg struck out two in two innings, hitting 86 to 88 miles per hour.

A first step into a much larger world.

We should do

that more often if the rockies are going to win real games. It was kind of fun.

What concerns me

Offensively…is that Rockies are going down a la the K to Josh Fogg. If the only batters he can strike out this spring are Rockies, we’re going to have some problems…

Okay, I"m an idiot

It wasn’t intra-squad, it was “B”. Okay…duh…time to go home.

Isn't the internet wonderful?

I could say I’m drunk. Or I could say I’m Lisa Dergan. Or both. And no one would have any evidence to disprove me.

Just curious

What’s the point of an “unofficial” ST game? How much more unofficial can you get?

So did anything happen offensively?

Other than Sal Fasano’s 583-foot home run, that is.

Oh wait, wrong game.

Fasano

was 2-2 with a 2 run single, Ortmeier was 3-4 and Nelson 2-4. Dex was 1-5 with 3 K’s.

What you don't know is that both of Fasano's hits were long home runs...

He just doesn’t need to run past first base.

How great a place is the Row?

Create a pretend Game Thread and then Wrap it? What awesome work, Rowbots!

Only on the Row. I am truly proud to be part of such a creative, dedicated, and slightly off-center community.

It all makes sense now

I was wondering why you let ’Skins stay around.

And if this was a

politics-focused blog we’d be left of center and not be called Purple Row. But then we’d lose part of our audience.
