ALL Rockies Games To Be Available in High Definition
FSN Rocky Mountain, and sub-region FSN Utah, announced today that the network is now broadcasting a full-time high definition feed, delivering more than 400 events per year featuring the Colorado Rockies, Utah Jazz, Denver Outlaws, University of Colorado, University of Denver, Big 12, Pac-10 and more. The announcement was made by Liberty Sports Group, parent company of FSN Rocky Mountain and FSN Utah, which has also transitioned its other networks, FSN Pittsburgh and FSN Northwest, to full-time HD.
FSN Rocky Mountain (and FSN Utah) is offering its FSN HD feed to all cable and satellite distribution partners in the region to ensure that as many fans as possible receive the network’s complete HD offering. The regional sports network has already worked with many local cable operators to secure technology that would enable what was a part-time, event-based HD channel to transition to an around-the-clock high definition programming viewing experience. FSN Rocky Mountain (and FSN Utah) will continue to work with the regions other cable and satellite operators to secure FSN HD distribution in their service areas.
The leading provider of sports programming and production in the Rocky Mountain region, the full-time launch of FSN HD reinforces the network’s commitment to viewers by offering expanded high definition coverage and an improved viewing experience.
“Sports fans around the Rocky Mountain region have come to expect to watch their popular local sports teams in high definition, and I’m pleased that we’re undertaking this initiative to enhance their viewing experience,” said Tim Griggs, Sr. VP/GM of FSN Rocky Mountain and FSN Utah. “We are now in an era where applying new technologies to our daily routines is no longer unique, it is essential; so FSN Rocky Mountain and FSN Utah cannot afford to be behind the curve in meeting the demands of our viewers.”
