Yeah
Including Francis, we now have had six injuries to players who were expected to make the team this April: Francis, Hawpe, Stewart, Baker, Buchholz, and now a minor one to Atkins. I suppose you could semi-count Helton, as he’s been out all ST too so far. Plus with Spilborghs missing time due to his mother’s passing, that makes a heck of a lot of players who have already fallen behind.

What sets your guy apart is what he can do with his other pitches, particularly the changeup.
Changeup
has only been that brutal since about 2007, though. It also doesn’t hurt that Webb’s home park is at lower altitude. Leads to more break from his pitches.
