Usually when I see Helton striking out looking, I can be pretty sure the pitch was a ball.

just said they don’t think Hawpe was thrown out. There was an announcement in the press box when Hurdle was thrown out, nothing for Hawpe, and the Rockies people in the press box can’t confirm anything.

that was my prediction for the week lol, about the only thing good about this game so far

I predicted
that one of the Cubs games would include a bases-loaded walk. Which Jimenez gave us earlier. So one of the Cubs’ runs is completely my fault.

We just thought that, immediately before he left the game, he struck out on a, ahem, questionable third strike call and thought he may have said something to the ump.

He was just taken out right when Hurdle was ejected. It was chronologically near Hawpe’s strikeout looking on a suspect pitch. It was connecting dots with a dotted line
