Podsednik's initial role has been covered by the emergence of Dexter Fowler, and yesterday's injury to Dewayne Wise opens up an opportunity for Pods to get big-league playing time again.

My South Sider friend

will enjoy this news – he’s always been a fan of Pods, especially when he played with the Sox in 05.

MY south side friend

is infuriated. He thinks that even the $400k MLB minimum is a complete waste of money on ScoPo. He just wants the Sox to call up Kroger. I’m less emotional about the signing. I’m glad Podsednik is getting a shot somewhere and I’d love for him to prove the haters wrong.

That's Great News

I always liked Pods. If there were one guy that I wish were still with the Rockies this year, it’d be him. Good to see him catch on somewhere else, especially somewhere where he’s a hero.

Good for him

It’s nice to know there’s a spot for him on a roster somewhere, even if he’s not really a fit for ours

good for Scotty but he'll be with us all season

unless they reshoot the Dinger commercial.

Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many men on the field?

Thanks for the memories, Scott

Haha, so come September they’ll play the Dingers Other Job commercial, and we’ll be like “Wait, who — Oh! I remember him!”

Good for Podracer

Glad he landed somewhere, and hope good things happen for him.
