MLBTR Q&A with Troy E. Renck
MLBTradeRumors is one of two website that I compulsively refresh (the other, of course is Purple Row). Today, they offer a brief chat with Troy E. Renck. Since the site is dedicated to trade rumors, the main topics of the chat were Matt Holliday, Garrett Atkins, and Jeff Baker. Most of the comments blast Renck for touting Atkins.

I Love How
All the commenters are blasting Troy for being a homer when he says that Atkins has put up numbers only behind David Wright the past three years as far as 3B go. He is speaking, of course, about RBI. I don’t believe there has been a 3B in baseball that has driven in more runs than Atkins since 2005, if I’m not mistaken.

Not quite as strong of an argument as it used to be
But Atkins is undeniably in the second tier behind A-Rod
