Hmmmm...
The Diamondbacks have only scored one run for Haren all year. Maybe that’s a sign that Good Jorge will show up today.
which means there due
to score for him….but hopefully just not today….score 10 runs for him next time out

Seriously, anybody who rates the Rockies announcers below the Yankees
really doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
Yeah
I’ve only heard short clips of the Yankees announcers (I’m forgetting their names), and that was enough for me. Though I did hear a parody on ESPNRadio recently that cracked me up. All about how the Yankees being down 3 runs was perfect strategy for their ultimate comeback.
The guy from SD
is the worst, no question. I don’t need to hear anything else to be convinced of it.

He has a point
His EORP is a mere 2.64 while his NTHEF is a staggering 46.5
(Effort Over Replacement Player, Not Trying Hard Enough Factor)

I don't know why everyone was so shocked that Haren would pitch around the #8 hitter to get to the pitcher

Marquis and Cook are decent hitting pitchers
but everything else is more of an anomaly, don’t fall in love with it

I know most Rockie fans do not like him
but I love Byrnes. However his contract was not warranted. See Marvin Freeman circa 1994.

well that other dude had you all up and angry
anyhow, yeah, My buddy loved the 06 Rockies because of their sheer run manufacturing ability. He was a big Fogg and Sullivan fan as well.
He likes scrappy guys too. We butt heads a lot over this stuff. I’m glad we stay friends after the headbutting is over.

I don't like how he pads his steal stats like that.
He had one in the first game, too. Completely meaningless, seems like he’s just trying to inflate his numbers.
How
is that worthless? It’s the 2nd inning of a scoreless game.
Insert witty and/or humorous signature here.
I'm siding
with Phil on this one.
"Better move your rental cars, I am about to take BP."
-Glendon Rusch
It's not quite meaningless
but the benefit of being at third with two outs is not very large from being at 2nd. It’s worth about .04 runs

With the pitcher up and two outs
It looks like I’m being outvoted in this case, but the events that would make that move worth his while pale in comparison to the things that could go wrong. I mean I guess there’s a minute possibility that he scores on a wild pitch, but if he’s thrown out? The pitcher will be up first in the next inning. I just don’t like it.
That's what I'm saying
A steal adds .04 runs expectancy in the situation, while an out obviously makes it zero. He would have to have a 96% success rate to make that theft attempt worthwhile, which is pretty silly.

Meaning Byrnes is silly? Or fast?
96% is just a ridiculous success rate

If Byrnes
were a lousy baserunner, or our offense had no trouble scoring, I would probably agree.
Or if Doug Davis were pitching.
Insert witty and/or humorous signature here.
It's the pitcher batting
There’s a chance that if he had gotten a hit, it’d have been a terrible squirter and Byrnes might not have gotten farther than 3B.

could both start a story get side track and never finish what the original story! And are the biggest homers that is to nauseating to even think they can call a game with out mocking the other team to put the home team over.
I dunno.
Grace always seems to have a pretty big hardon for the Rockies, too.
