Cubs might release The Viz
Paul Sullivan writes that the Cubs plan to call up Jeff Samardzija. To make room for him, former Rockie Luis Vizcaino might be released, making the Jason Marquis trade an official fleecing.

Samardzija
I was in Chicago for the last couple of days. Went to the Cubs game on Thursday, and Samardzija got knocked around. The kid has dynamite stuff, though.
The worst thing about it was that Willy Taveras had 2 hits in the game. Where the hell was that last season?
