Forbes ranks Rockies 20th in Value

Forbes list the Rox 20th, D'backs are 19th & in 1st are the Yankees, Mets are 2nd, Red Sox are 3rd as for the other teams check out the complete list

It's interesting that the Rockies are ranked so low...
According to the chart by Forbes, Colorado ranks 8th at 24.5 ($mill) based on its low debt value. It carries less debt/value than the Mets 21% vs 76%. I will have to read the article in the morning to figure out where they get their figures from. They list the Florida Marlins as the team with the most operating income at 43.7 $mill, but then when your 25 man roster makes up only $18 mill I can understand why!

I think the reason that the Mets and Yankees are so high on the debt/value number
is that it includes debt they took out to build their new stadiums…Also Rockies ninth in operating income at $24.5 million, sandwiched between the Red Sox and the Mets, despite having revenues almost $100 million smaller than both teams. Not to sound like a Denver Post commenter, but the Monforts shouldn’t exactly be crying poverty here.
