He threw a lot of pitches last night

Went 1 2/3 innings

Torre wouldn’t overuse a pitcher would he?

If so, his fastball will probably be down to 98 & his slider only 87.

When it's coming in at 87 - 89

it’s almost impossible to distinguish from a fastball.

Not much that can be done with it.

Which is how Lidge saved 44 straight last year, and how Gagne used to do it.

Unfortunately, Broxton is getting to be that good.
