I'm debating going to Friday's game here in SF.
But I’m not too keen on going to a Friday night game by myself. The weekend games are more expensive, so I’d have to pay more for the seats I like, where I’m fairly comfortable with the type of fan. I’d be nervous about being in the upper deck alone on a Friday night with drunk Giants fans. Not sure if that nervousness is founded or not.

my thought on Tulo so far are
He is not that smart.
He has a terrible batting eye.
He is stubborn and uncoachable.
He will fail more than succeed when the pressure is on.

I refer to him hitting well when he had a batting stance where his feet were even with the plate and failing miserably when his batting stance is closed. You would think the new batting coach would have mentioned it to him and I am pretty sure it went in one ear and out the other (See #1)

he has a reputation for being incredibly arrogant off the field.
In short, this kid idolizes Jeter but doesn’t seem to have a lot of Jeter’s intangible qualities. Hopefully he’s smart enough to realize its time to change the way he approaches things.
my thoughts on tulo (judging from previous seasons)
he is bright
has a good swing but needs to get a better eye for when to swing
he has potential to be a clean up hitter if he works at it

We have some good hitting pitchers this year
Morales, Rusch, Ubaldo and Marquis have .500+ averages. Cook is .250. Of those, only Ubaldo has failed to get two hits

although if you go back and watch his first 10 ABs
with his last 10 ABs you will see an INSANE improvement. I remember him spinng like a corkscrew on his front foot swinging at fastballs those precious first games at Coors.

He's 30 but still makes rookie mistakes
If a pitcher can throw a breaking pitch low and away, he’ll swing at it almost every time. It’s very frustrating to see him strike out and not learn from such mistakes after so many years

he's very streaky
If you look at his month-by-month splits, he’ll destroy the ball one month, and then the next 2 months be borderline worthless.
That and he has very little plate discipline, and he is easily fooled by breaking balls.

Well the issue there is that Barmes is 30, and we pretty much know what he’s gonna do. We ride him while he’s hot, when he cools off, Stewart has a better chance of improving, as he’s a younger guy.

Because right now, as long as the Rockies are at home, I sort of agree with him.
Barmes has been far more valuable at Coors Field and Ian’s been having his issues adjusting to breaking pitches. As soon as we go to San Fran, however, I hope Clint’s riding the pine.

I don't think Iannetta is streaky at all
Iannetta has a phenomenal batter’s eye, and that kind of skill makes you very valuable no matter what your batting average is doing. You’ll make pitchers work, you can see pitches better, and you waste fewer outs.

Netta has far better plate discipline, a lot better power, more slugging, better OBP etc
He’s not really that streaky either. He struggled at hi s callup and is in one slump, but he’s consistent normally. Had the third best OPS on the team last year…so he’s a great hitter. And decent defensively
