-The pitching matchup is a rematch of Rockies Photo Day. Will Rowland-Smith be able to maintain his 1.000 career batting average against Marquis?
-Will Troy Tulowitzki stay "Hot Tulo"?

Niemann has a much higher ceiling according to most experts. Seems like they have a lot of Hammel types already, not sure I’d be ok with giving up Rodriguez unless Niemann came back.

At best Morillo seems like he can do something like Jorge Julio down the road at this point, I think Hammel’s got more potential to be better than that.
ERA wise yes
but looking at it he has ad something like 10 walks to 11 strikeouts in 15 innings.
Not a good number
He allows a lot of baserunners
But with his stuff, and losing it on the line, even a half decent Spring is worth a try.

If nothing materializes on the trade front, I don’t see any harm in keeping Morillo, but I don’t see him becoming more valuable than Speier in the next three weeks. I think this is a situation where we have to cut umbilical cord.
It will take both Morillo showing he can do it long term, and somebody else blowing up

I like how this team is playing. They are no longer sitting back and waiting for the homerun to come. I like the aggressive just make contact kinda offense that I am seeing.
Makes me wonder
what Hurdle was thinking last year when he let them sit back and wait for the 400 ft Home Run that probably wasn’t coming. This year they won’t wait and it will still probably come, despite losing some guy to Oakland
