Best single game pitching performance for 1998.
What has been the Rockies greatest single game pitching performance?
Ok, ok, ok, pitching, Coors Field, Mile High, altitude. Words not commonly associated with good things for pitchers. After several days of scouring over mountains, piles, pages, rows, columns, so many numbers that my head still hurts. I have compiled a list of the best single game pitching performances by the Rockies and am asking for your help in determining the top spot.
I do apologize for the length of time between 1997 and the 1998 posts. I've just been busy with a lot. Anyway here we go:

That was a heckuva major league debut by Brownson
I remember watching and being in awe of his curveball…he was actually one of the first Rockies pitchers that amazed me…and then he completely fell off the map. Still that MLB debut as a Rockie is rivaled only by Jennings’ imo.

Brownson
I don’t remember this guy at all.
And holy crap, I went to see what some of the opposing teams’ records were, and I did not realize Houston was so good that year (102-60). That makes Brownson’s outing look even better.
IIRC, he was never a sparkling prospect
as he was a 30th round pick in 1993. I can’t speak to his actual ability, since I was 10 during his debut. I don’t know. He got shelled at Coors Field in his next start and didn’t really do anything after that

Where did Brownson suddenly come from and disappear too?
In 3 major league seasons with Colorado and Atlanta:
2-2. 48 IP. (18% of his career was this one game here) 6.94 ERA. 32 K.
That was amazing for his 1st start ever to go out and dominate a team that won 102 games that year.

Finally
I’ve been waiting for the Brownson game.
If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! HOW can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!
Picking Brownson's game
Only because it was my 21st birthday! I was in flight to Vegas as he was dominating
Thanks for voting everyone.
Poll is now closed. Mark Brownson’s game against Houston received the most votes. I will have the 1999 games up ASAP.
