Rockies Wallpapers - June Schedule and a Special Surprise!

Here's my laundry list of reasons why this has taken me so long:

1) My girlfriend just left for ROTC field training, so I was helping to get her ready

2) Double shifts at work

3) Summer class w/ 2 papers in 1 week

4) Photoshop makes my computer choke

Go ahead and choose which one (or a combination) of the four you want to be the reason why this is 11 days late. Once you've decided on one, enjoy the wallpaper! I put in twice as much work into this one as I usually do, and I think the calendar turned out pretty good for it. However, my creative juices ran dry for the background, so it's rather barren. Use your imagination :) . Also, the special wallpaper isn't quite done yet (you can choose a different excuse for this one if you want for some bonus points), but will be by the end of the day.

Kosmo, I'm working on your logo request. The trouble is that I need to get it vectored first, because the version I have isn't any bigger than the version here on the site. But since I'm done with papers (at least until Tuesday), I'll have some time to get it done for you :) .

Anyway, onto the wallpapers! As always, let me know if you want one in a specific resolution and I'll get it out to you. C+C is greatly appreciated! And yes, RMN, I did take some inspiration from your "learn scorebooking" post a while back :)

To show my thanks for sticking with me through thick and thin. I know that, as Rockies fans, we're all pretty used to adversity, but you all put up with me even when I didn't update for 3 months one time - even the Rockies can win at least once in that timespan! ;)

So anyways, here's one that I think(hope) everyone here will appreciate. I saw the font on a free font website and this image instantly popped into my head. 2 days later, here we are! Again, let me know if anyone wants a special resolution (and jrockies, I've got a special resolution in there for you too :) ).

I’d love to do mobile versions, but I’ll need some help. What resolution do they need to be, and what file type/size? Anyone who wants to chime in, please let me know!

Well...

the Android (HTC dream and touch) are 640×480

the iPhone is apparently 320×480

No idea about other phones.

Great Picture

When I try and put it on my desk top the background is greenish and the colors are completely off in general. What would cause that? I would also like a 1280×1024 Resolution if that’s possible.

As for your color issue, I’m not sure. Is it an issue with your monitor? Do things that are supposed to be grey/white look grey/white?

If not, I’ll put it into a different file format for you, maybe that’ll help.

The colors for everything else show up fine, even the picture shows up when I download it and save it, but when I put it as my background the colors go funny. I don’t know what’s up.

Alright,

I uploaded a Toddfather background in your resolution and saved it as a .BMP. Try that one out and see? I’ll do the same for the clipboard as well.

Is it only happening with my wallpaper? Do other pictures have the same issue?

The Toddfather works wonderfully

Since this is my work computer, I do not need to have the schedule in the same resolution (it works perfectly on my home computer). Thanks for your help. You did put a lot of time into this, and they are AMAZING (as usual).

Just the font I was using

It was the best free font I found that looked like casual handwriting. I don’t particularly like the 1’s either, but I take what I can get ;) .

Nope, everything you see there is 100% generated in Photoshop

The paper texture, the handwriting, even the tape that holds Ian Stewart to the paper. Makes me happy to know that it looks real! Well, except for that clipboard…the only tutorial I could find made it look rather cartoonish.

The actual wallpaper is

and I updated the link to say so. The filename is still wrong, but the wallpaper itself is 1440 × 900. I was scaling/saving/naming/uploading these files at 3 am yesterday and got a bit blurry-eyed. Sorry for the confusion!

The Rockies need some oldschool purple/white striped high socks. The team’s problem is it’s lack of swagger. I feel strongly that these socks will provide the swagger necessary to tap the potential that are the Rockies.
