I appreciate the relatively stable lineups under Tracy, but is there a reason Smith hasn’t gotten even a spot start in ages? I don’t quite get why Spilly has gotten all of those starts. Is it a matchup thing?
I feel like Smith has really gotten the short end of the stick here, through no fault of his own. Or maybe I just have a sentimental attachment to him and am overreacting on his behalf.

I’m not sure why Smith hasn’t had any starts lately, however tonight they are facing Price who is a very good LHP so that explains why Spilly and even Atkins are getting starts.
Yeah, I get the reason tonight.
But it’s been Spilly multiple times, and even if all of those were LHPs, eventually Smith needs to get in there.

I’m thinking that maybe they’re trying to showcase Spills for trade possibilities. Tho’ I could be wrong. But I’m totally with you on missing Seth in the lineup now and again. I’m a fan of his as well.
And how far back are we now?
Price is
a lefthander. I assume that is why Spilly is getting the start tonight or they are trying to get him a little more consistent playing time in order to improve his marketability.

Barring major injury it’s hard to see him being a true bust, though given the expectations many people will call him a bust if he turns out to be “merely” a solid No. 3 starter.

HR parks, using number of HRs by park. But he fails to mention we are near the bottom in home games. Should always look at it per game, Drew.

still a great hitter’s park. HR park factor should be both teams combined per PA at home compared to on the road. By that measure, Coors is in top 5.
