Having won three games in a row (and convincingly at that) for the first time since, well, the second through fourth games of the season, the Rockies look to set a couple of new marks against the Cardinals this afternoon. They'll be seeking their first four game winning streak, a series-clinching win, and another evening of cheap tacos for Rockies fans along the Front Range.
With staff ace Ubaldo Jimenez (3-6, 4.11 ERA) on the mound against journeyman Joel Pineiro (5-5, 3.86 ERA), I like our chances. I also like tacos, so let's see some more offense, Rockies!

Todd Helton gets a rest today, with the red hot Ian Stewart filling the fifth spot in the lineup and Troy Tulowitzki in the seven hole making his return. Meanwhile, Tony LaRussa has assembled a more conventional lineup today.

It was a deep drive to the track
It seemed like it should have gone over his head off the bat but he got a great jump and then made a leap and stretched up high, just got it. Great jump followed by great jump. Came down at the base of the wall and had to flip to Dex for the relay but both runners scored.

If I had to guess, that was a mechanical misread, possibly caused by the rain.
The data from the stadium equipment is received by the GameDay operator, and imported into the gameDay app. I doubt the operator fabricated data, it was probably just faulty radar data

Generally, it's pretty accurate. They worked really hard to make sure.
When it is inaccurate, it’s pretty obvious like it was right there.
