I went to Taco Bell after the Rox won in a blowout

they scored well over 7, but I don’t remember which game it was. I asked “4 tacos for 1 dollar please, the Rockies scored 7 last night” and the cashier just looked at me like I was from Mars. I thought “Apparently they don’t do the 4 for 1 in New York when the Rox score 7. This is the most disappointing moment of my life.” Then the cashier (who was wearing a Red Sox cap AND a had a Red sox tatto on his forearm said “who are the Rockies?”

I just got really, really confused.

I forgot the Giants don’t play today, and I flipped over to the channel where their games usually are, and they were replaying the Sanchez no-hitter. But at first all I saw was the scoreboard, showing the Giants up 7-0 on SD. Then they showed Sanchez’s dad and that’s when I noticed the “Giants Classic” graphic.

Ball was hit to Cook, he ran to first and he and Todd had some miscommunication.

Cook went to tag the runner, Helton (I think) thought Cook was going to flip it to him, they sort of ran into each other and runner was safe.

And didn’t get the flip going, if he had just gone straight to the bag he would have got therunner out. However, he didn’t make up his mind and just sort of met Todd. Runner was safe.

The Padres have a weird roster

3 bench position players, one is a catcher, and one is a giant outfielder.

I assume this is due to injuries? E.g,. Eckstein temporarily replaced by a pitcher.

Check today's "Know Your Foe" blog

It goes over the roster thoroughly. The Padres 25-man roster is perhaps the strangest setup in the majors. They have been hit hard by injuries, which is partly to blame for their roster woes.
