that it is against the rules for a team to play more than 20 games in a row without the consent of the players union. So they had to accept it.

The worst think about watching virtually every Rockies game is
you get soooooooooooo sick of the commercials. I think the one I really really hate right now is the guy in the LaMaz class using the wifi.
"I've had pretty good success with Stan Musial by throwing him my best pitch and backing up third." - Carl Erskine
Amen to that.
The beer commercial where the guy knocks all the shelves over in the store is driving me up the wall as well.
Could be worse...
…the TV-game commercials are a whole lot better than the ones for the radio game
((Coors Light, I’m looking at you!))
That sad psrt is, that's probably the best commercial Qwest has ever come up with...

What was the article
that a pitching coach said the bullpen is Morales destiny? I can kind of see that now. If he sticks he will be quite the weapon in the seventh or eighth.
I really like the idea of Morales coming into face a lefty in the 6th or 7th
then having him pitch to the 8th with that stamina, it’s a great ability to have, to throw multiple innings in the pen

I dont know baseball that well
I just thought whoever gives the most dominate pitching gets the win?
by GoldenNugget on Jul 17, 2009 10:45 PM MDT up reply actions
No.
First, you have to go at least 5 innings. Second, your team has to be ahead when you leave and stay ahead. If the other team ties it after a starter leaves, he won’t get the win, even if his team eventually wins.
You're welcome.
By the by, the rules are slightly different if a reliever is getting the win. They obviously don’t have to go 5 innings.
Also, a starter can get a loss no matter how long he’s in the game, even if it’s just an inning.
Can we make this game
last another 1.5 hrs and have the Rockies win so I can have two wins on my birthday? (just kidding but it would be cool)

Huson: That’s a good thing right?
It's just funny because I had an almost identical exchange with one of my coworkers.
I called something “sick” and she was legitimately insulted.
too funny...

Screeching like he's being stabbed.
Yelling about throwing strikes and such, in the most obnoxious way possible.

Too bad the Astros keep winning though
I was hoping they would fade and be willing to part with Hawkins. Now they will fade too late for that to happen.

I know that teams way overpay for closers these days
but I hope there is someway to keep Street in a Rox uni after this year. He has been the most reliable reliever in franchise history so far.
he isn't due for free agency until after next year

I'm a lot more relaxed with him in the 9th than I ever was with Fuentes.

Yeah Fuentes was good
but the nervousness I had when he came in was out of control. Its nice when you have a closer that you expect a 1-2-3 inning from.
MLB network showed that the Pirated have a crazy good record against SF
the last few seasons. Let’s hope that continues tomorrow!
