Got tickets to the game on 7/22 - does anybody want them?
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use a Fanpost for this, but I couldn't think of a better way. I have two seats to the matinee finale of the Diamondbacks series but am too busy at work and can't go. I'd like to have those seats occupied by a Rowbot who would really appreciate them, and am willing to give them to said deserving person and their guest. They are great seats, section 135, row 25 just to the left of home plate behind the screen.
I'm not sure how much demand there will be with this late notice, but in the case there is a lot of interest I'll have to figure out who is the most "deserving". If you are interested and can go that day, post here why you think you deserve to go. You might include evidence of how big a Rockies fan you are or how desperate you are to go to the game, etc. All entries must be comments to this fanpost.
I'll evaluate the entries right after the game ends tomorrow night (7/21) and will declare a winner.
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

I'd love them!!!
So here’s my story: Due to financial constraints, probably the only games I’ll make it to this summer are the July 4th game (already past), and the July 25th game. That really sucks!!! My summers have been filled with Rockies for the past three years – really defined by the Rockies, and their successes or not. Summer 2007 I was at 15 games and it was probably the best summer I can remember. Silverblood and I found ourselves up in the empty third deck several games, huddling in the rain for a few, but just as happy as clams to be at a baseball game. We were at photo day that year as well, with just a handful of other fans who thought the Rockies were worth taking pictures with.
Last year I was at fewer, but still plenty of games, and the Rockies were struggling — and it was possibly the most stressful summer I can remember! I guess my thoughts were on the same brain wave as the Rockies success or lack thereof, but my state of mind was notably different the two years!
As I said, this summer, both Silverblood and I have been unfortunately forced to cut down on extra costs (being a student in New York City will do that to you), but I really do miss those evenings at the ballpark…just hanging out, watching it get dark, watching some of my favorite people play baseball. In case you haven’t guessed — Silverblood will be my guest! Her Rockies fandom is, I think, legendary on this board…but to give a sample, she’s been known to deck herself out in Rockies gear and then march into Shea Stadium…
I can’t think of a better way to spend a wednesday evening!! Thanks!
Hmm.
I suppose I really should look at these things, shouldn’t I? That’s all right, I can still go – I’m teaching drama camp in the mornings until noon, so I can head down as soon as I get off. I would still love them!
Ok, the tickets are yours
Congratulations. I’ll leave them at will call on my way to work in the morning. I need a name to leave them under, unless of course your drivers license sais “Squeaky” on it.
You can post it here or email it to roberbola@msn.com if you aren’t comfortable with that.
Eh, I'd like them
But i also have to work. I could probably call in or something, but i need the money as well.
