Mike Timlin Signed; Reports to Casper
Troy Renck's All About the Rockies blog brings us this little newsbit. Also includes the Hirsh trade for the dreaded PTBNL.
Like Renck said, no risk/high reward signing. Hopefully the depth helps out in September (Timlin, Herges, Speier, etc.) or we don't have to get to these guys and the bullpen gels well.

Casper
That assignment had to be a bit of a disappointment

If you mean never in 2009, ok
But he had a good career and was the setup man on the 2004 world series team.
Leave Dexter alone! You're lucky he even performs for you!
I just interviewed for a job that would make me stay overnight in Casper from time to time
The boss actually suggested checking out “this minor league team called the Casper Rockies, er, Ghosts” in the interview. I assured him I most certainly would. We then discussed Mike Timlin and the likelihood of him contributing to a playoff run. Anyway, if I get the job, I’ll report on him if I see him pitch.

Good to see he's
still calling them by what they should be called and not by that cheap name change ploy.
