Daley Comes Home
As was often repeated during telecasts this week, Matt Daley is from New York and made his first appearance at Citi Field. This story is from the local newspaper in Matt's town (written by family friend Ed Rotondo, not me). I've known the Daley family for a long time now and, although it's cliche to say, Matt is a hard worker and a really great guy. It doesn't hurt that he is pitching pretty well too.

Thanks for the link
That had to be fun for Daley. Too bad he wasn’t up last year to catch Shea stadium, but it sounds like it was a thrill anyway.
Leave Dexter alone! You're lucky he even performs for you!
That's a nice tribute
I could only imagine what that would be like. Nice article. Thanks for the link.

Daley had some great support...
…the article comes from a long time family friend that was able to get press/photo access to the field – Ed Rotondo. He also had some fantastic action pix of Matt. Look for another article next week – great getting Rockies coverage on the East coast! Hopefully he comes out in September for the Mets series.
I saw about 30 of his fans
on the third base side a bit before 6 pm. And another 10 or so where I was sitting in right field.

Cook had a very large contingent of fans last night...
A lot of makeshift handmade #28 Rockies jerseys going around. Jim Tracy presented the mayor of Hamilton an actual Cook jersey when he was given the keys to the city in a pregame ceremony.
That would have been a cool ceremony to see
