Do you hate the Dodgers?
Do you really know what it's like to hate someone? I mean really hate 'em? With a passion, a fury, a vengeance?
You know what I'm talking about? Well if you are a Rockies fan, you should when it comes to this:
The Rockies
and the Dodgers
If I can speak for most Rockies fans, I can't stand the Dodgers, I hate the Dodgers.
Like good:
hates evil:
We've shared players:
and Managers:
Now tell me that don't breed contempt.
What if you yard sale a few drawings to a neighbor up the street, and the turned out to be Da Vincis?
You would hate his guts, right? You're damn right you would! And that's just talking about some ink on paper. What if the stakes were bigger? What if they were playoffs? division titles? pennants? championships? respect? Huh?
Now you don't just hate him, you want to hit him, you want to embarrass him, you want to beat them! You want to say to them: "I like that movement on that curveball you just threw me, espcially after I put it 15 rows into the left field bleachers!". You want their mothers to say: "Oh no, that's not my child that just took a fourth called strikeout, my child knows how to swing the bat!!!"
Well that's what is going on there for the next three games! There are Dodgers! There are Rockies! There are piles of frustration and hate! And then there is you!
So I ask you, Rockies fans? Are you ready?
Let's leave these guys lost in the mile high air!
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

I strongly dislike the Dodgers...
but the only team I hate…is the Lakers……………………..seething at the thought of the Lakers…but the Dodgers are close to that…
My late uncle was a Dodgers usher
and my grandmother is still a Dodgers fan.
My dad grew up watching Koufax and Drysdale.
I can’t ever hate them.
I hate the Red Sox.

I really don't like the Dodgers
As many know, I used to love, and still do like, the Giants. It is hard to like the Dodgers as a Giants fan, considering the history and rivalry between the two teams. Being a Rockies fan does not make it any easier, especially when the two are competing for the division.
However, I could not hate the team, because the NL West would be dry without them. It makes things a lot more interesting facing the Dodgers, which is good for baseball.

Dodger Fans are annoying as hell
I can’t stand them, they are worst then red sox fans at times. But it’s ok, because we just kicked their ass.
I hate Red Sox Fans
After living 2 blocks away from Fenway for 2 years, and now living in LA, I can state my personal feeling that Red Sox fans are the worst HUMAN BEINGS in the world. I caught a Sox/Tigers game at Fenway once and one Red Sox fan said to another as they were walking by:
“Hey Fatty!! Put down the hawt dawg and do some push ups!”
The thing was, “Fatty” was 6 months pregnant. WORST. FANS. EVER.
Dodger fans by comparison are much less annoying, bolstered by the fact they all leave by the 7th inning anyway.

When a Dodger player
defecated in a towel and left it in their BP, at Coors Field, that was something I will never forgive their entire organization for.
Yes, I hate the Dodgers.
Their organization should’ve come forward and not only named the person, but they should’ve released them for doing it. Someone in their organization knows who did it, and to conceal it shows a lack of respect for our team.

Huh?
When was this? I don’t think I have ever heard about this before.

I have heard about this.
From what I have heard about it, I always thought it was either Raul Mondesi or Gary Sheffield.

I reserve my hate for 2 teams in baseball:
The Cubs (because of the ignorant fans) and the Yankees (because they have sold their souls to the devil). Other than that, it’s just strong dislike.
-Joe
I was a Dodger fan
as a kid when we didn’t have a team here. So, I can’t hate them. I’m not a fan but they do have some exciting players (Kemp, Ethier, Loney) and I don’t really hate any team. I really want to get even with those Red Sox, though.
I really only hate one pro sports team
THE GREEN BAY PACKERS. I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION.
"Good teams win games, horse**** teams have meetings." - Ozzie Guillen
I love rooting against the Dodgers
But I don’t hate them. Though the turd-in-a-towel incident could change that. Do we know which player? Cos then we could REALLY hate him.
The only sports teams that I hate
are teams from Boston, ie Red Sox and Patriots, and the Yankees. The Boston teams (and yes, I know the Pats are technically in Foxboro, but its close enough) just have such an arrogant attitude about them that it just makes me red with rage. Right after they won the World Series in ‘04, they seemed to turn into a clone of the Yankees with their "We’re better than all of you and we deserve to be in the World Series because we’re the Red Sox" attitude.
And don’t get me started on the Pats. You can’t watch a NFL sportscast without all the “analysts” spouting the teams’ praises and acting like they are trying to outdo each other to be first in line to get teabagged by Tom Brady.

The only team I trluy hate
with all of my heart is the Oakland Raiders. Its been a little harder to hate them with how horrible they have been lately. Its just fun to watch now. Long live Al Davis!
President of the Don Draper fan club.
I don't hate the Dodgers
I don’t like them….but “hate” is a bit strong.
I hate the Red Sox in baseball.
In Pro Football, I hate the Raiders and almost hate the Redskins (growing up a Cowboys fan) but my interest in the NFL is at an all time low…so “hate” for either of these is a bit much.
Now…as an Okla. U fan….I HATE, HATE the Texass Shorthorns. I especially hate the color burnt orange. Or Orange in general. In fact…if a team’s predominate color is orange, I dislike them just by association to Texas
Good, an OU fan
As a BYU fan, I look forward to the game coming up. It will be a big one for both clubs, though some still act like it is only an exhibition match.
Sorry for the sidetrack.
I completely agree with this post

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say DbacksSkins hates the Cowboys
"Good teams win games, horse**** teams have meetings." - Ozzie Guillen
I wouldn't say I hate em
My hate is reserved for the Red Sox and Yanks.
But a nice healthy dislike…that’s what I have for the Dodgers.
Gladly sharing a name with Dexter Fowler!
The LA Dodgers are probably my least favorite sports franchise.
They’re up there with the Lakers and Chargers….
But honestly, I like a very large portion of their players. Ethier, Pierre, Loney, Martin and O-Dawg are pretty awesome. But as a team…..screw em.

Earlie, I said I didn't like the Dodgers
I’m changing my vote to hate after hearing Matt Kemp today, talking about keeping his foot on the Rockies collective throat and then proceeding to demonstrate by grinding his foot into the ground… So yes I now hate the Dodgers….and Matt Kemp….
So you hate them because they acknowledge that they need to seriously keep at us
if they want to beat us?
I’d be more insulted if he said they don’t have to do much to keep us at bay.

I didn't hate the Rockies
until 07 when they were actually a threat to the Dodgers, and then i didn’t have to hate them again until a week ago when they were, again, a threat.
Man, I’ve been a Dodger fan my entire life and I’ve only hated the Rockies parts of the last 3 seasons.
What does that say about the Rockies ability to contend :P
I kid I kid.
But really, 2 nights ago was not pretty when Hawpe hit that game tying HR against Kershaw. I was so ecstatic when Kershaw struck his ass out in the 7th :)
But I do love a great division (or Wild Card) race. Should be very interesting the next month….even if “interesting” means my health worsening from the stress, lol.
I generally hate all LA fans
Which I guess is limited to just the Dodgers and Lakers, since the Clippers don’t have fans and the Angels are not from LA as far as I’m concerned. I think for the most part though, it’s just because of the type of fans they are. The majority aren’t true fans…they don’t know a thing about the team, show up late to games and only care about “being seen.” On top of that, the majority are also front runners and/or bandwagon fans. They’re almost as bad as all the Cubs and Red Sox “fans” in Denver, who are just sad and pathetic. I may not like fans of teams like the Raiders or Philly fans in general, but at least I can respect them because they’re true, loyal fans.
Maybe this will sound stupid, but I think the kind of sports fan you are is very telling of the kind of person you are in general. If you can’t remain loyal to a measly sports team when things aren’t going well, how can someone expect any different from you in other facets of life? If you can’t support something at it’s worst, you sure as hell don’t deserve it at it’s best. That’s why I can’t stand bandwagon fans. Unless you’ve endured all the bad seasons, you shouldn’t be able to enjoy the good seasons. That type of thing just bugs me to no end.
Wow….talk about going off on a tangent.

There are bandwagon fans and bandwagon fans
For example, during the Rugby World Cup and the Six Nations, I support Italy with enthusiasm, and Scotland and England with a little less enthusiasm. The rest of the time, Rugby does little to nothing for me.
However, the people who switch allegiance within the same sport/competition are no better than sheep molesters.
(NB I can understand if you move town/state you can develop an enthusiasm for the team of your new location, but you’d better not give on on your roots)

I have nothing against them still
I’m far more mad at our bats for not levelling Padilla and the ATROCIOUS strike zone both sides had to deal with.
