not really. sure, sometimes there’s that GIDP, but that’s negated by the possibility of moving runners over. Plus, getting a lucky hit is far more likely on a grounder than a popup….errors too

I think his major issue lately is that he's actually making too much contact.

Specifically making contact with balls outside the strike zone. In May and June when he was pretty valuable, he put wood on the ball less than 70% of the time when he swung at slop out of the zone. Now that he’s hitting a lot more of those, the quality of contact has gone down tremendously.
