Looks like the row approves of the draft class this year with these guys being so high.

or they were hyped by more knowledgable members of Purple Row
so most people followed along with it – which is fair…

Did Al Alburquerque get many votes?
Just thinking about the Baker trade and wondering how he is being viewed.

That's a photo finish in the top three if ever there was one

That was kind of the mindset though right?
That there was the elite level containing those 3

Yeah pretty much
You have to really like your depth when your 8th ranked pitcher was just AA Texas League Pitcher of the Year. Okay, so he’s 26 and was injured last year, but still…

You should replace the redundant sum coulmn with something
like first-place votes

It's not redunant if you look at the complete results.
First-place votes wouldn’t work either since, you know, almost all of that column would be blank after the top three.

I'm pretty sure he was in my bottom five, and I remember some other ballots with him

Can we bump Hynick and take guy #31?
And this list is wrong due to the lack of Bruce Billings towards ibn the top 30. He was on it last year and had success at Modesto. Whereas Chris Nelson…just saying!
I'm not sure about doing that.
This is a snapshot of what we thought then, not after it. And it’s not wrong; it’s the view of the totality of voting.

I don't know, I'd rather have players on the list that were actually in the organization and not too much time has passed.
My two cents…

Were actually in,
not are. See, you are telling me that Hynick should still be in it because he was in the org. when the vote took place.

No, that's my mistake in verb tenses.
I want players that are currently in the organization on the PURP list, not those who are not.
This applies to any member of the PURPs list that is moved out of the organization—move them off the list and shift everybody up one. Those other prospects aren’t going to play for us—let’s stop listing them as potential assets (even if we do note that they aren’t with the organization, it’s pointless to keep them on the list IMO).

Did you vote?
Nelson dropped quite a bit in a lot of people’s polls from last time, but he still has a much higher ceiling than Billings

stupid question
is there an easy way to find the position for the non pitchers?? dont’ see it on the linked stats…
firstinning.com is fairly handy
though the positions of all the PuRPs are listed on the PuRPs list pane of the front page. Scroll down and to the right, past all the FanShots, etc.

EY Jr.
EY Jr. seems too high on the list to me but after looking at it I can’t make an iron clad argument in favor of any player below him on the list (though I think that about 5-6 might be better prospects).
Thanks again to all of the posters who took the time to participate.
Says more about the system
The Rockies system right now is thin on sure-thing offensive prospects, which has a bit to do with players like Fowler graduating to the majors. On potential, Rosario and Gomez should be higher than EY2, but there are a lot more questions about both of those (specifically, will their numbers hold up at higher levels — Rosario did not have a good season but he’s young and was making a significant jump.)
