So going down to Arizona to collect rattlesnake tails for good luck seems like the Western U.S. equivalent of going down to Louisiana for a Mojo Hand. I'm sure that this means that if we whoop the snakes, we'll have a good omen the rest of the way through October. If we lose, we might be coming back singing the Rattlesnake Blues. Yeah, I've been on a YouTube blues kick this afternoon.

At the very least, if we lose Giants need to lose.
I kind of want the Giants further out by Monday. So at this point I’m rooting for the Giants to lose at least 1. I definitely don’t want them to sweep the Dodgers regardless of what we do.

Given our history, I don’t know if I can really blame you, though. For me, I’d still rather have a team that has to win 94 games to get into the playoffs over a competitor that wins 92 than a team that coasts in at 87 because nobody else was stepping up. Let the Giants win. If we can’t stay ahead of them anyway, we don’t deserve the playoffs.
