Rincon...
How bad is Juan Rincon?
His ERA has never been under 5 the entire year and since Aug. 24th he's given up 10 earned runs in 11.1 innings pitched, and currently holds a 7.94 ERA.
He did have two outings of 3 innings or more without giving up a run 8/26, and 9/10.
I just don't think he's a good guy to give the ball to unless we're up by 5 runs at least.
Any stats to give him props or agree he's not too good?
I'm just always disappointed we give him the ball.

Seriously, did somebody declare a jihad on Juan Rincon and I missed it?

This is kind of funny in a way,
It’s sort of like spam with all these down with Rincon posts. Really, if the big thing we as Rockies fans find to complain about the team is the mop-up reliever, we’re in pretty good shape.
Jihad on Juan Rincon

Gladly sharing a name with Dexter Fowler!

Last night we WERE up 5 runs and everyone is disappointed we gave him the ball
He is not that good, or he would not have been available on the scrap heap. He likely will not be on the playoff roster. He has been useful as an innings eater a few times, and is OK to pitch in blowouts. That’s been his job for a month and that will continue to be his job until October, when he will no longer HAVE a job. I would rather he pitch now in blowouts than waste Raffy, Daley, Morales, or Street. The more rest they get, the better.

Even in giving up runs, he’s doing the team a service by allowing the actual playoff pen to stay rested

put him in in blowouts and keep the pen rested. but once october comes I’d really rather not see him.
