he is what he is and that in a April-July pitcher. He’ll be gone because he cannot change the fact that he does not have the stamina, courage or valor down the stretch.
Fowler bunt was a complete idiot play. This kid may need to spend some time in AAA next year as he has regressed on the bases, at the plate, and in the field. He needs strength and conditioning work to avoid wear downs.
The offense constantly put behind the eight ball because the pitching cannot hold people down. How often in the last month have they actualy played with a lead.

You don’t have him face Venerable in that situation, he’s already taken Marquis deep, and Marquis was clearly trying to hang on at that point. Note Black’s removal of Stauffer before the shit hit the fan.

singlehandedly scored the third run. He made some mistakes, but that double was a thing of beauty.
I hope that Cookie has a great start then I would be fine with leaving Marquis off the 25 man. I can see why so many teams have made that decision with him in the past
