Right now, I probably put Belisle on postseason roster ahead of Marquis

Watching the purple row from high atop the big brown monolith on California Ave

by Mondogarage on Sep 29, 2009 10:22 PM MDT up reply actions

Not sure I'd go THAT far.

Marquis did a LOT to get himself back in my good graces tonight (other than the whole walking-in-a-run thing).

by Foxhole Atheist on Sep 29, 2009 10:23 PM MDT up reply actions

Do you put him in your rotation ahead of U-Ball/Hammel/JDLR/Cook?

Because if not, then I think Belisle has more use as a long man.

Watching the purple row from high atop the big brown monolith on California Ave

by Mondogarage on Sep 29, 2009 10:24 PM MDT up reply actions

Ahead of the first three, not a chance.

Ahead of Cook? Maybe. We’ll have to see how his next start goes.

by Foxhole Atheist on Sep 29, 2009 10:25 PM MDT up reply actions

I don't think it's so much of a diss as it is giving yourself the best chance to win

Besides, Marquis should be used to it. Of course, it’ll ensure he doesn’t re-sign with us next year…but we can put the money towards Brian Roberts!

Watching the purple row from high atop the big brown monolith on California Ave

by Mondogarage on Sep 29, 2009 10:27 PM MDT up reply actions

I'm just not sure Marquis or even the other players would look at it like that.

It might rub a lot of guys the wrong way, no matter what Marquis has done lately. I’d be really surprised if he was left off the roster.

by holly96 on Sep 29, 2009 10:28 PM MDT up reply actions

So you think he makes the roster but not the rotation?

I could live with that, as long as it doesn’t mean carrying an extra pitcher and not having the Golden Thong on the bench.

Watching the purple row from high atop the big brown monolith on California Ave

by Mondogarage on Sep 29, 2009 10:29 PM MDT up reply actions

Unless he really lights it up his last start and Cook falters.

I can't believe i'm saying this, but i agree.

I wasn’t impressed with Marquis tonight. He was inches from getting run early in the game and, despite the fact that he settled down a bit, he got hit HARD in those early innings (when he wasn’t walking people). Fortunately most were hit right at our outfielders.

OK, now that we did our pennance thread...

Hope to see a “pennants” thread coming soon. But not prematurely. ;-)

just went to mlb to see if the video is up on cdi hr

not up yet, but gameday shows pitch #6 as fully in the strike zone. did we catch a break on that pitch being called a ball?

May the Rockies bring me to paydirt!

it would have been

we’ll certainly take it after the pujols 1st inning ab and the giambi ab in saturday’s game

May the Rockies bring me to paydirt!

Did the Brewers catch a break

on Hart not being called out at 1st on the tag up? Probably. Umpires are human.

by Hizilla on Sep 29, 2009 10:49 PM MDT up reply actions

Yes, umps are human, but I guess it's a point to all of our griping in the card's series over the

umpiring. I just follow on the internet, so I never know. unless they play the giants then i get to see him on tv here in the bay area

May the Rockies bring me to paydirt!

I don't know if its magnified because we are in a pennant race but....

Has this been the worst week of umpiring you have ever seen?

Angel Hernandez not in the house

plus, the pads scored what proved to be the winning run on thursday after hundley stole

second, when from what i read here the replay clearly showed he was out. the only one where the ump is clearly forgiven is the one must publicized – barmey dp
