I've got Braves-Fish on XM
so Braves announcers, who are absolutely gung-ho on their playoff chances. Sample quotes:
“The Braves have favorable pitching matchups the rest of the way.”
“Winning out for the Braves is very possible.”
“The Rockies are only 3-12 against the Dodgers and only .500 on the road, so they’re almost certain to lose 1 of those first 2 in LA.”
“I like our chances in a playoff game Monday. It would be Jason Hammel v. Javier Vasquez.” Then speculation on whether Rox would move up Uball on short rest.
These guys are almost overconfident on getting to play-in game & then playoffs.
3 down w/ 5 to go & they think they’re in.
No records in the last 10 years should count.

I think the Rockies have gotten the best pitching performance of any MLB team this year.
I’m dead serious. After them (in the NL, at least), the Braves, then the Giants for me.
The one thing the Rox are missing is a Lincecum-level ace.

Been watching the braves game here in ATL
There is noooooobody at the stadium. And it’s so quiet it’s scary. You’d think a team with a marginal shot of getting to the playoffs would have a pretty full stadium.
And bases loaded for the fish

Apparently their fans have less hope than their announcers
But as I recall, when they went to the playoffs 13 years in a row, their fans didn’t even bother to show up late in the season, and they didn’t sell out some playoff games

“Ass” and “arse” are two different spellings of the same word, so if one counts… but it shouldn’t – I’m all for the lack of profanity on this forum but not being able to say words that tame, well, it’s personal choice but it would suck if it were forbidden.

They lasted for another 14 years or so until signing a peace treaty with the New Republic. They then became the Remnant, but 20 years later or so they started to act like Russia these days. And about a century later they joined with the Sith to rule the galaxy but were betrayed by the Sith.
