Welcome back to Rockaholics Anonymous!
This month we are going to discuss the story of your Rockaholicism: the story how you became a Rockaholic, and the highest you've been on Rockahol.
Well, it goes something like this....
(Rockaholics date back to prehistoric times)
Okay, I was just a mild-mannered Rockies fan before I became a Rockaholic. My parents didn't raise me to be a Rockies fan, I made that choice on my own.
It was right before the 2007 season that I took my first swigs of Rockahol and actually got addicted. I would then procede to cheer on the Rockies like I never had before, and the Rockies rewarded me with an unforgettable September and Rocktober, which made me even more addicted- I was going absolutely nuts.
Rocktober ended, I hated the Red Sox, and started going through withdraw. The next offseason was the first one that I actually counted down the days every day. I'd wake up and think, "Only 127 more days!".
My Rockaholicism level has increased expotentialy, each day I do or say something crazy. Most of my family (and most of Colorado) are Broncos fans, making me the only Rockaholic.
The highest I've been on Rockahol: well, I guess that would go to the NL Championship. I wasn't there or anything, but the fact that "we are going to the WORLD SERIES!" was, well, unbelievable. The fact that we got swept just made me insane.
My parents often wonder where they went so wrong as that they raised such a crazy Rockies fan. I don't know if some people have the right personality to be a baseball fan, and I was destined to become a Rockaholic, or if I just made a right choice, but nevertheless I have turned from a laid-back Rockies fan to a crazy Rockaholic.
So, that's my story. What's yours?
