If anyone wants a laugh

read this blog entry, Ranking the offseasons. The Rockies are ranked 24th, behind such winners as the Cubs, Mets and Astros.

The reason?

Colorado failed to add a single starter, either position player or pitcher, and downgraded their bench (Atkins to Mora, Torrealba to Olivo)

I hate the internet.

Attention Whore.

That article is complete BS (except for the Royals being last part)

The AL bias is nauseating. Top five teams is a bit much for me.

Oh and the Angels 11th? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!……………..oh wait? You’re serious?

Of course the Red Sox are first because apparently they win every offseason. No matter what boy genius Theo Epstein does he seems to praised for it. (I’m not saying I don’t think they did a good job, I just don’t think they had the best offseason)

And since when did signing Mark DeRosa, Aubrey Huff, and Bengie Molina equate to “going for it now”?

Total crap.

Not sure why this is so bad

We weren’t trying to “win” the offseason. I haven’t read this article, but I assume its trying to rank those who made moves relative to where they were last season. We didn’t really do anything to “improve” (lets be real about the moves referenced, almost entirely financially motivated) and we are taking an on-paper risk re Marquis/Francis. But so what? I’d be fine being 30th on this list, it means our team didn’t require much movement. We didn’t do anything, and it was the best thing we could’ve done (realistically). I don’t know if the Olivo/Mora moves are upgrades or not, we’ll see. Maybe they will be huge moves in reality, but on paper they are not. Ho hum. Power rankings will be a different story.

Not too much information. Just talks about him throwing in batting practice and once again proves that whenever an article is writen about another Rockies player the author must include at least one paragraph about what Tuo thinks.
