Coming out of the closet!!

Been lurking for a while, and just wanted to chime in and say hi. I have been a Rockies fan from the beginning. I saw EY start the franchise at Mile High, and stuck around in the cold to see Dante crack open Coors. I really enjoy this site, as I have found myself checking it almost daily, since last years playoff run. I just want to Thank all you guys for contributing, and making following the Rockies so much more enjoyable. I really like Rowbot Radio, and all the daily scoops. I finally signed up for a account so maybe I'll chime more, but I just wanted to say, "Keep up the good work."

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Favorite Player....

I’m really looking forward to see what CarGo can do with a full season, I think that is what I’m most interested in. Ubaldo starts are always can’t miss games. I want to see Stewart cut back on K’s. I really like Barmes, but need to see some improvement ( is he at his peak).I’m glad we got Mora. Hope Francis can replace Marquis. If the rest of the team produces similar to 2009 production we should be good, right ?
As far as Favorite, I don’t think I actually had a favorite since Ryno, Hawk and Grace, filled my screen in my late 80’s chilhood. Those Cubs teams with Harry Carey calling the games were pure summer bliss to a 13 year old stuck at home during the summers.

Have fun here.

My baseball history goes back to the sixties. I have vague memories of the very late fifties. Don’t be afraid to compare eras. There are changes with time; but the game is timeless. Give the numbers guys around here historical references to ply their craft against. Then they can see what we saw and how today’s players compare. I hold numbers aren’t everything. They will be the first to admit that every stat has it’s flaw. I stick to the old ways not out of sheer cussedness; but because the old numbers are there for the ages. The new numbers are not there for the players I grew up with. I am dyslexic enough not to trust my own math compling those stats.

These guys do a good job.

Then why did he make the best medicine purple ?
No seriously, I just chose a pretty purple plant. Don’t really know if you guys care what I look like.

Is there really a problem ?

It really just started as me saying hello to the Purple Row. Why would anyone be offended by my avatar ?? Or care what I do ?? I have seen several mentions of Beer at the ballgames, or meeting at a bar for opening day and such. Beer for me gets me to the point that I can’t even remember one inning from the next, and my interest level really decreases. Not to mention the safety issues of driving, acting different and really being someone I’m not. Yet brewing parties and bar meets, (while sound fun and I DO NOT have any morale problem with, and would love to attend events) get great responses. Just let me do my thing, You can do yours. " If you aint causes no harm, it’s alright with me"

Keep your avatar and be yourself....

I don’t see that well and can’t really see it at this scale. At least no one inferred it looked like panama red! HA HA ! I don’t advocate drunken behavior either; I just enjoy a beer now and then. Stick around.
