(A little OT) new member

I am a rockaholic and avaholic, have followed the rockies and avs even through the toughest times. I am 17 years old and play high school hockey and baseball. when I am not playing hockey or baseball or watching for that matter I enjoy hunting and fishing. I have had the prevledge of actually talking about hunting with Todd Helton. I am a regular on the avs forum and Rockies mlb forum. I have a couple of questions for everyone. How many of you hunt? and if you do hunt what do you hunt, I generally hunt waterfowl. How many of you fish? if you do what is the biggest freshwater fish you've caught? How many of you are avaholics?

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Welcome aboard

While I don’t hunt, I do enjoy a leisurely day fishing with a radio next to me to catch the Rockies game (I haven’t done this in the last 5 years). Stick around these parts, I hear they’re better than other threads such as the mlb forum. Enjoy your stay.

There are three things in my life which I really love: God, my family, and baseball. The only problem - once baseball season starts, I change the order around a bit. ~Al Gallagher, 1971

Welcome to the Row

If you are a regular on the MLB forum then you will love it here. As jrockies said, stick around.

I’ve never been hunting and I’ve only been fishing a couple of times. This is mostly due to the family I grew up in. (They are not big outdoorsmen) I did like fishing when I went though.

What position do you play and are you good enough to be scouted?

If the playing fantasy dies; you can comiserate with bums lke me. Hope you have fun here.

No I doubt if I would ever be scouted considering I go to a tiny school in North Eastern Colorado, I play 2nd. Although we did have one guy from our high school team get drafted by the Rockies, Jeff Squir, he played rookie ball last year, and he thinks he has a good chance of making the AA team, although he has a hard position to try to come up to the big leagues, short stop, I think Tulo has that spot locked up for quite some time, but there are always injuries but if tulo got hurt I doubt the season would have any meaning.

I was a tin gloved corner player my self...

My claim was driving opposing pitchers nuts. I had warning track power to all fields and could use what was given me. I hit alot of doubles and “seeing eye” singles and always moved the runners.
