Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

Eric Gagne Closing for the Rockies....?

In light of Huston Street's recent injuries, the question is, who is the closer? Is it Manny Corpas, Huston Street, Betancourt, Daley or someone else? Just recently Eric Gagne was released by the Dodgers; do the Rockies take the chance on a guy they once offered a contract . Or do we just grab Joe Beimel? Please keep in mind, currently Huston Street's shoulder after taking a MRI is 'structurally sound'. Sounds familiar, Jason Jennings, Denny Neagle, Mike Hampton, Jeff Francis,...uh...Eric Gange?

Here's a poll please let me know what you all think.

That is a ludicrous suggestion

We have at least twelve guys who I would guarantee could close better than Gagne. I should probably include myself in that list

Yes

Saw Gagne pitch an inning against the DBacks a weekish ago. He got shelled and didn’t look like he had much in left in the tank.

I'd cry like a kid with a skinned knee

if I ever saw Gagne try to close a game for the Rockies.

Clem Johnson? That skin bag wouldn't have lasted one pitch in the old Robot Leagues! Now Wireless Joe Jackson, there was a blern hitting machine!

Exactly! He was a machine designed to hit blerns!

You humans are all the same.

You’re just scared of a little robot competition, Franchise.

Is this 2003? It’s not? Then this is not a good idea.

Yeah,

as Andrew Martin says, “It’s not a good idea to sing a person the Dodgers just cut.”. However, it’s really cool to see that we 70% of us with Morales for close if Street is on the disabled list for any extent of time. I’m willing to bet this is what will happen during the regular season if and when it happens, Morales will close.

That clip works so well

in so many situations. God bless AD. And absolutely seconded on a resounding no to Gagne.

I don't see Rincon in that poll. Or Alan Johnson.

I'd take Alan Johnson over Gagne.

Speier would be a better choice.....

and he will probably stick with the team for a 6th/7th inning role.

A plot or at least sabotage

L.A. released the guy and is hoping upon hope that the Rockies pick him up. Washed up. Done. Through…and through. Resist the temptation. He’s just a big name with nothing left.
