So, I admit that I am a relatively new fan to baseball. It was only last year that I first really began to follow the sport, but I can already say that I love it. I am extremely excited for this season to start and have already made a bet with my best friend who is from L.A. that the Rockies will win the division this year. But, there are a few things on my mind about this team and I am just wondering what you guys all think.

First, I have this feeling after watching him finish off last season so strong, that Carlos Gonzales is going to absolutely tear it up this year. Am I right? And what are we looking at with this kid? Do you think he's an All-Star caliber player in the future?

Kind of on that same note, I can't help but look at how young this team is and think that we are going to be pretty good for a while. Dex, Carlos, Tulo, Smith, Stewart, Iannetta Francis and Ubaldo are all fairly young and talented as well. In sports, to me at least, there is no better feeling that experiencing a breakout year from your favorite young team because you know it is only going to get better from there on out.

Also, what's the deal with our starting lineup right now? I haven't' really caught any preseason games so far this year but as soon as the season starts I will try and catch as many as I can. But, if someone could give me their input on what they think the lineup is going to look like I would really appreciate it. You know, how's Francis coming along? Is Stewart poised for a breakout year? Etc...

Anyways, can't wait for the season to start. I think it's going to be a good one. Go Rockies!!!
