Star-divide

In addition to this, Purple Row will have its own league run through CBSSports.com's Commissioner League. There will be no entry fee as the league will be free. The league will feature our daily writers and maybe Rox Girl if she wants in (never heard from her). The remaining spots will be open to the Purple Row community. As an added incentive to go up against your overlords (note: I haven't won a fantasy baseball league since 2001), there will be monetary prizes at the end of the season.

I will have an entry on opening up the league to the community over the weekend.

Customizations

Is anyone aware of a site that allows you to write macros to determine eligibility? For example, the league that I commish doesn’t allow you to play two players whose last names begin with the same letter (i.e. if you playe Hawpe, you have to bench Helton). For obvious reasons (because it’s kind of bat shit crazy), this isn’t a standard feature of any leagues. I could easily write code to verify eligibility, but I don’t want to write an entire fantasy baseball architecture, obviously.

I don't really care if you sign up.

I get $20 for every league through that, but no one needs to use it. But company overlords and such.

Seriously, that stuff up there is info we were given to include in this introductory post.

Once we have

all the participants in the league (post on that tomorrow), we can all vote on the scoring system.

For the love of God roto.

Head to Head just doesn’t work as well in baseball.

Before we start

hashing this out here, one of the required posts I need to do for the sponsorship is about league rules and scoring.

Prizes

In the vein of prizes, I always give away a trophy in my leagues. It’s a somewhat cheap trophy, but people seem to like the idea of a tangible reminder of their success.
