Purple Row's 2010 CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League
First to get the legal stuff out of the way: CBSSports.com and SB Nation reached a sponsorship deal for this season, and to benefit readers across the SBN-Baseball sites, you can receive 50% off the price of a CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League. Remember to use this link if you so choose to run a CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commssioner League. (Whatever, you can choose any alternative out there if you want.)
Now to the main point of this entry: who wants to play? Remember, there is no fee to join this league, but there will be awards at the end of the season. Five spots are already taken up by myself, ATF, Andrew/RMN, Jeff, and Bryan. I want to keep this league to 12 participants. So from now until noon MT tomorrow, please post a short, very short reason on why you should be in this league (HINT: It might not be wise to tell us that you want to destroy the PR staff in baseball). Once the league is full, we'll have a post on rosters and scoring. And yes, the frequency of these posts discussing the league will diminish and wind up being once a month after the start of the regular season.
CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation baseball communities. This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League.
CLOSED. I WILL ANNOUNCE THE PARTICIPANTS LATER TODAY.

I'd like to be in the league
not sure what to say other than I really like fantasy baseball and I will participate in the league for the entire season as opposed to draft my team and disappear two months later… Also, I really like fantasy baseball.

I want to play
I’m a pretty good fantasy baseball player and love to play it. I also want to meet more row boats and have fun competing all season.

I I I
I would love to join the league because I usually cajole my friends into joining a league and end up being the only one who checks the standings/cares.
I don’t post here often because of time/job stuff, but I do read PR regularly and am generally knowledgeable enough to perform decent-to-well in a fantasy league.
Interest
I’ve been playing for several years now, and activity has not really ever been a problem. I’ve been pretty successful in most leagues, or I may have just been lucky, which I guess is key at the end of the day.
I would love to join
because, as a lamb led to the slaughter, my troops will march ever faithful into that good night.
My goal would be to avoid last place, a noble cause.
Iron Maiden? Excellent!

plus I got dibs on last place so back off

Me! Me! Pick Me!
Why?
1) I once bid $26 on Steve Sax in an auction… (and finished last).
2) I attended the first Rockies game. Still have the ticket stub from Doc Gooden’s 3-0 shut-out of the Rox at Shea in 1993.
3) My blood runs purple.
I need a blood sample
to prove the last one.
