Rowbot Radio - Episode 5

Rowbot Radio

Welcome to Episode 5 of Rowbot Radio!

On this edition, Andrew discuss our first impressions of Spring Training thus far, including a concern about Melvin Mora, positive of impressions Cole Garner and some young relief pitchers, as well as the role sports agents play in their clients' success or failure in finding a decent contract.

We had some technical issues during the recording, so please forgive the occasional shifts in audio quality, as we had to change recording devices a couple of times.

Also, as always, if you want to hear us answer a question or address a specific topic, feel free to let one of us know in the comments section. Thanks, and enjoy!

Too Low base running efficiency

It seems like Tulo is always making outs on the base paths. Is he a bad base runner? How bad? How important is his lack of base running skill? I’m sure there are stat based answers to these questions, and I don’t really trust my impression that he is inept, because no one else seems to be annoyed by it.

You, sir, are a rare breed in on an internet forum. I salute you.

I've enjoyed this series so far

You guys do a good job. But RMN, you’ve got to cut down on the amount of times you say “you see where I’m going” and other similar phrases. You know what I’m saying?

Yeah, I understand

You guys are getting better as you go along. And now you’re probably going to be hyper-aware of that particular phrase, so you’ll stumble more. Sorry.

I completely agree about Mora

I’ve always liked him, but I questioned the move when they signed him because I just didn’t see the versatility that the Rox needed. I certainly hope the only reason he was in left field was so they can get him some at-bats and had nothing to do with plans to use him in the outfield during the season. That makes no sense to me.

I know some discussion has occurred, but in a future one I would like to hear thoughts on what the Rockies might do mid-season or even preseason via trade and other moves. Is there a place to send Hawpe? If Betancourt is down do we look for help outside the organization?

I love the series so far. You two make me chuckle every time I listen. YAY BASEBALL BEING BACK!!!
