Hiroki Kuroda starts for LA, while Charlie Haeger, Hong-Chih Kuo, Jonathan Broxton, and George Sherrill will also see action.

I got into this with RMN the other day.
I think I would probably trade Spilly or Dex for Kemp, but I don’t think he’s better than everybody on our roster except Tulo. He offers speed and AVG with decent slugging at a premium position, but he’s not superman.
I'll admit he's not superman, I'm just too bullish on the guy
but he’s better than Stew, Barmes, Smith, and I’ll hold off on Dex and Cargo purely based on lack of demonstrable playing time to gauge them off of.

Yeah, I would agree on Stew and Barmes.
But I’m not sure about Smith. Wouldn’t the playing time caveat apply there as well? Offensively, it looks to me like Smith has better on base skills, while Kemp seems to have better power; he also has better speed and defense, so I guess he does look like the better choice. Though I still would like to see what Smith could do with full time PAs.

we can only really debate on what we’ve seen, and no thanks to management, we haven’t seen Smith enough to really get a feel for anything but PINCH HITTING OMG

Cargo in RF for starters, I understand he has a stronger arm
It’d be a bizarre rotating outfield (and I’m kind of assuming that juggling positions won’t kill the guys).
I might even consider trading Smith (I know), but that’d only be if another GM recognizes that Smith is a good baseball player, not just a good PH.
With 3 CFs playing, I’d probably go Dex LF, Kemp CF, Cargo RF, and if Kemp can’t handle Coors CF, then just swap Dex and Kemp. Smith rides the pine, and because of the outfield versatility, we can literally take the season and give everybody 120G, adjusting as players get hot and cold or whatever.
Obviously this is a fantasy baseball situation. Kemp would be a godawful fit as far as starting players go.

They rambled on about things completely unrelated to the game at hand, told awful jokes, and didn’t seem like they were paying attention to the Rockies at all, to the point where they called a pitch to Dex “another fastball to…the player”. It was awful. Thus the reason I am referring to Dex as “The Player”.

I've been following lots of GameDays
It doesn’t depend on the stadium, just if someone happens to be operating GameDay. Since there aren’t any on staff, it’s just if anyone in the scorebox wants to update, they can. SOme broadcasts have started with operational GameDay, and then stopped midway through. SOme had it the whole game, most don’t.

Speaking of commercials...
I saw my first Giants commercial of the season last night. I missed the very beginning, so it probably made even less sense to me than it was supposed to, but it featured Matt Cain pitching in slow motion while having a conversation with some dude in the stands dressed up like a panda. And then the tagline at the end was something like (this is a paraphrase because I don’t remember exactly) “Come watch the Giants, where magic happens.”
