When Street Returns...

With the pen being mightier than the rotation, what about a Morales return to the rotation?  I realize Frankie is not stretched out enough and was curious about his options (does he have any left?).  Maybe send him down to get stretched out and then brought back up to be a starter.  I was just thinking about how some people mentioned on here about putting Frankie back in the rotation sometime in the past.  Wouldn't that be a good idea in the absence of some of these starters?  Of course, this all hinges on Street's return (which is a ways off), but thought I'd throw it out there.

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Heck, maybe...

even put Corpas back in the closer role? Just throwing it out there, too.

I got nothing.

Nope

He’s made himself too valuable because he can go multiple innings now.

Impossible not to have positive thoughts.

I want Sam Deduno to pitch already.

Eeeh, I’d rather not see Franklin start again. He can hold his own for an inning or two and hasn’t been a bad closer, but starting him never seems to end well.

If we’re down enough men to the point where people from the Drillers or something are fighting for rotation spots, maybe.

but starting him never seems to end well.

Except for when he tied the franchise record for consecutive scoreless innings by a starter as a 21 year old rookie?

Actually, his career ERA is lower as a starter than as a reliever

not by much though

It'd be interesting to see

but I think Morales has made himself too valuable a reliever and I would much rather see how the youngsters can hold down the fort. If they do a poor job than that proposal becomes much more interesting.

The game isn't over till it's over.
