According to the Rockies game notes...
Jason Hammel technically still hasn’t been activated from the 15-day disabled list, and Mora’s potential disabled list has not been posted, thus Mora is stil active, and Hammel technically still on the D-L.
Mora supposedly was OK taking infield tonight and had no problems with the glute.

There was a strange case, where the rained out game allowed the Rockies to reverse their roster move they made yesterday.

That was a bit different, because the move was never filed with the Transactions Office.
In this case, all the official machinations were completed, but they were allowed to void it after the game was postponed.

The paperwork was filed, and he was added to the list.
You’re not normally allowed to do this, but the postponement of the game affected it, though I’m not sure of the specifics.

ive been enjoying myself so far, its a fun place
We're gonna start learning alot about Chacin beginning tonight....
Teams now have enough video/scouting to craft an approach, so we’ll learn 1) if he’s got some vulnerability that’s been sussed out and 2) how he adjusts to hitters seeking to exploit that.
I think he’s positioned to succeed for the long run because of his secondary stuff. His hook, for example, is nasty as hell.
Bottom line: don’t get too nervous if he takes a step or two back at some point soon. It’s all part of the process. that said, let’s hope it’s not tonight!

someone is going to touch him up eventually. But its all about fastball location for this kid…keep them honest. His offspeed stuff is so sick, nobody is going to want to swing at it so they’ll be sitting red and any mistakes will be his problems. And, of course, no BBs. But I’m stoked for this kid, the hype so far has been deserved and the future is bright. Go get ’em tonight, son.

I also started the My Player mode. My first at bat, I hit a walk-off homer. My first full game, I went 0-4 with 1K, 1GO, 1 FO and a GIDP. My fielding errors led directly to two runs being scored. Welcome to Tulsa, champ.

By the way, good first rehab assignment for Taylor today in Colorado Springs.
Threw 11 pitches, 7 for strikes and got two strikeouts in one inning of work.
Good sign. Probably a couple of more rehab appearances here with the Sky Sox.
That is fewer than 2 strikes per ball
He needs to pick it up if he’s gonna make the big leagues.

Probably interested has grown in recent years with the World Baseball Classic and many Australian players in the majors and minors.
By any chance, did they switch to an alternate game during this rain delay? The Mets/Marlins game is the only evening game tonight.

I have a question,
Are there any concerns with the lack of consistency in the lineups this year? I thought that was a large problem last year under Hurdle and one of the things that Tracy changed and had great success. I understand the difficulties with injuries and slumps but I was wondering if there were any thoughts on this subject.

I disapprove of the players who get the assignment on any given occasion sometimes, but lineup consistency does not a winning team make. See: 2006 Cardinals.

I understand that comparison, But i guess when Tracy took over last year, there was a huge improvement in the bullpen when they knew their assignment going into a given day is what Im looking at.
I certainly wouldn't make the argument that consistent roles hurt the team.
I just don’t have a problem seeing new lineups out there every day, as long as the ideal players ar eplaying, which hasn’t always been the case, IMO.

The suspended game rule only applies after the game is official, and if the game is tied, or takes the lead just before the delay.
In the minors, the suspended game rules would take place during any part of the game.
It's worse than that.
This precipitation cycle extends all the way to Pike National Forest, moving straight towards Coors field. Not gonna be any big breaks for a while.

As far as I understand
a player has like a bubble around them that comprises their “zone” that they’re expected to get to.
So if by some strange happening an oppo single happens, it’s really nobody’s fault

I don't recall any times I was HBP at the plate.
There was, however, a weird fluke inning. I was running on a ground ball from second to third. Shortstop tried to throw to third for the force out, and hit me in the back. Ow.
The following play, I was running home. Third base tried to throw home for a force out. Hit me in the back. OW.
