I used to think he was the sane half of Miller-Morgan, but not sure anymore.

must be that time of year again...

First it was the Gatorade on the jersey of Corpas (ok, that one was in Rocktober), then the mound is not the right height, and finally this. I guess our Rockies stink so bad that everytime we start putting the whoopin on teams it can’t be our talent…….

Very sad

Jon Miller was my first “voice of baseball”. I have fond memories of sneaking a portable radio into bed and listening to the west coast games when he was calling Orioles games on WFBR. I still try to listen to him call a game whenever I’m in San Fran (though strangely I don’t like his TV work on ESPN nearly as much). Always thought of him as a highly classy broadcaster.

Unless some pretty credible evidence surfaces or a serious investigation comes out of this, I have to say I lost a lot of respect for the man after reading this. If you accuse an opposing pro sports team of cheating, you’d better be right.

I'm with you.

I’ve been quiet through much of this controvery, but I actually like Jon Miller a lot. It’s very disappointing to hear him participate in this travesty.

Ignorance of the American League is a sign of good moral character.

Wow

What Jon Miller said was plainly stupid, but some of the other comments on that page are absolutely outrageous.

If you watched that 9th inning of that Cards game, you’d realize that none of those hits were LOLCORZ hits. Iannetta’s homer leaves the yard in any stadium, almost every other hit was a smoked line drive, and Seth Smith’s walk off was crushed.
To the guy saying the Giants have a more storied history than the Rockies: OF COURSE, you have a more storied history! YOUR FRANCHISE IS ALMOST 100 YEARS OLDER

Then there’s this: “Maybe Jon Miller is on to something. Oh, and for the Rockies fans who think their club has been clean: Todd Helton. Cheater.”

/RANT TIME

OK genius, then explain to me how his numbers have been perfectly consistent with an aging player with a degenerative back? Not to mention, HE STILL HIT OVER .320 LAST SEASON!!!!!!!!! Are you so blinded by the steroid era that you’ve forgotten what regular career trends are like?

“Wayne Hagin called out Helton and was burned at the stake.”

WAYNE HAGIN ADMITTED THAT HE WAS REFERRING TO CREATINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DO YOU PEOPLE FORGET IMPORTANT FACTS LIKE THIS?!?!?!??!!?
And most of all….SHOW ME PROOF BEFORE YOU MAKE HARSH ACCUSATIONS LIKE THIS!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR……………..I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
/End rant

You know, I hope the team uses this as motivation to go out and win this world series. I’m SICK of this classless demonization of the Rockies organization and Todd Helton.

Yes, I actually do like cricket. I'm Indian.

Also, if Todd Helton was demonstrated to be a cheater

I think the vast majority of Rockies fans would turn their backs on him, and the FO would find—invent, if they have to—a way to run him out of town on a rail. Call it a hunch, but that’s what I think would happen.

Because, well, Denver>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>San Francisco

Personally, I know I'd...suggest...to him where he should go and how he might accomplish this trip.

Troy Renck will be on the DP show this morning.

To talk about the accusations.

Seth Smith's beard looks on in anticipation.
