Sorry this is late! I just got back from camping at Dowdy Lake in Red Feather. It was a lot of fun, but 3 kids in a small camper was a challenge. Anyways what is with the Rockies? We go into the All-Star break winning 8 of 10 and then only manage a win vs the Reds. I was thinking we could have sweeped them. As for "HOW" the candidates are Ianneta, Olivo, Barmes, Giambi, and Herrera. Not a great week if Herrera who hit .222/.364/.222 can make the cut.
More after the jump!
Ianneta made the list for the 1st time because he was responsible for are only win. He hit the HR that gave us a 1-0 win on Sunday. For the week .500/.500/1.250 with a R, RBI, HR and a WPA of .086.
Olivo has made the list for the 3rd consecutive week. Olivo played the first 2 games of the series, but only managed 1 hit, the best kind, a HR, to bad it was a solo shot! For the week he went .173/.250/.571 with a R, RBI, HR, BB, 3 K's and a WPA of .095.
Barmes has made the list for the 2nd time in 3 weeks and had 3 hits, Johnathan Herrera style, all singles. For the week he hit .300/.300/.300 with a K and a WPA of -.059.
Giambi has made the list for the 2nd consecutive week and played in 1 game on Friday and hit .250/.250/.500 with a RBI, 2B, a K, and a WPA of -.050.
Herrera has made the list for the 3rd consecutive week and hit .222/.363/.222 with 2 BB, a K, and a WPA of -.228.
So we went 1-2 against the Reds this week and hit a low of .141/.225/.228 against Reds pitching. Only 4 extra base hits. So you make your chose...
