Colorado "Hitter of the week".
I thought I would start smoething new this week with a Rockie of the week...aka MVP of the week. There are some good candidates. First I'll go over who is up, and what there did. All you have to do is vote for who you think played the best ball for the week. Please don't pick someone because there are your favorite player, lets leave that for the All-Star voting. First a poll for the batter of the week.
The results after the jump.
The candidate are: Miguel Oliva, Seth Smith, Clint Barmes, Dexter Fowler, and Jonathan Herrera. There stats for the week:
| Week 13 | Avg | AB | R | H | 2B | 3B | HR | RBI | BB | SO | SB | TB | SLG% | OBA | OPS |
| Miguel Olivo | 0.409 | 22 | 6 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 5 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 16 | 0.727 | 0.435 | 1.162 |

Bye the way...
I voted for Fowler…just really help setup the rest of the lineuo and his game agianst SF on the 4th was just awsome 3 for 4 with 2 triples and 4 walks…awsome.
You know what I'd love to see in this as well?
WPA, if you can manage it. It’ll give some extra perspective as well and start more arguments
naw, it's Win Percentage Added
You know when a guy has like 2 hits in a game but they were both not very impactful, but one guy has a bigtime single and it changes the game? That’s what WPA is all about

you can get the WPA off of both Fangraphs and Baseball-Reference
should be pretty easy

darn
I was hoping for some stat reason why it isn’t explaining clutchyness.

Fowler for sure!
A leadoff hitter doing what a leadoff hitter should do. How big were some of those triples?
man, Fowler is doing what a #4 hitter should do
that’s just how awesome he’s been

they were so big that he successfully reached 3B

Didn't we get him home on more than one?
Granted, I was listening to the game on the radio for most of this week unfortunately.
yeah, 2 sac flies
but the triples themselves, that was the magnitude – he reached 3B
They’d be even bigger if he’d reached 4B on them. Now THAT’s a big triple.

CarGO had a better week then I thought, but still probable not in the top 5.
