This game was twice delayed by rain. It started 30 minutes late and in the middle of the second inning more rain stopped the game for an hour. RF Matt Miller drove in the Sky Sox only run of the game in the top of the eighth.

The Drillers scored five runs in the second on a wild pitch, a 3B Warren Schaeffer two-run single, an LF Anthony Jackson RBI ground out, and a CF Charlie Blackmon sac fly. Keith Weiser held Springfield to one run in seven innings.
Modesto, L 7-8
Parker Frazier had trouble with the first two innings by allowing six runs, but he settled down for the next two innings and left the game after the fourth inning. Stephen Dodson pitched the next three innings and gave up one runs. Casey Weathers pitched the eighth, surrendered a hit, walked, one, and struck out one.
3B Ryan Peisel drove in three runs on a single and a two-run double. SS Erik Wetzel and CF Tim Wheeler each had two hits and two runs scored.

Ever wonder how players pass the time on long bus rides in the minors?

So he's standing on a bus
for seven hours without a shirt on so he can get $100? That’s not losing one’s mind; sounds more like a bet everyone should take.

Both games were phenomenal. Delta Cleary singlehandedly saved the nightcap with his homerun and a diving catch in the 7th to save a run. It was Fowler-level spectacular.
And I turned on my camera just in time to capture the Arenado no-doubter. It was a serious blast.

Do any of our teams have a legit shot at the playoffs?
"Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny."
Jack Handy quote
Asheville's just a half game behind Greenville.
Casper’s only a game behind their division lead, half a game out of the playoffs, and Tulsa’s two games behind NW Arkansas (but in a playoff position ahead of Springfield). All three teams have a decent shot at making the playoffs right now.
I believe
(but haven’t checked recently) that the tiebreaker between Orem and Casper will be the best overall record. If that’s the case, Casper will need to finish something like three games better than Orem.
That said, this is probably the best Casper team (prospect wise) in a long time and easily one of the best prospect teams in the league.
You're probably right, they all have different formats and it's tricky to remember
which is which when you’re following all six. Still a very exciting Casper team this year. I’m very anxious to see how they all develop together.
