That loss hurt
Watching the game last night when we went up 6-2 I felt like the Rox playoff hopes were still alive and well. Then came Ryan Howard and Chase Utley to ruin our dreams. Delcarmen blew his debut and the Rockies playoff hopes as well. The deflating end to the game leaving two men on and grounding into the double play was a heart breaker. Rarely do you see have 20 hits and lose a game so with that being said we have a young team that will even be better next year and hopefully can capture the NL west title. I will still be at the games on wed and fri hoping to start another Rockies September miracle with a huge winning streak but honestly I feel like we are reaching for the stars if we believe that they are wild card bound.
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Welcome to the community and thanks for sharing
This fanpost is probably better served as a comment in the game thread, game wrap, or rockpile, however.
Fanposts should A. probably not be the first thing you post on Purple Row (we recommend commenting in the discussion threads before making fanposts, just to get a feel for things) and B. Are intended to be ways that people who aren’t regular columnists to share articles they’ve written.
Stick around, join the rockpile/game discussions, get a feel for the community, and then when you’ve got something in mind that’d make for a bitchin’ article, go ahead and try another fanpost.

How about a rec for that comment?
It really was the perfect combination of not being a dick and still getting a clear message across

sorry
I am new to SB nation and purple row. Just was trying to feel better about that crappy loss last night by making a post. Yes it would have absolutely been best as a comment on the game thread or game wrap. Sorry to have wasted your time with my worthless fan post and I won’t do it again unless it is to share articles I have written.

This site is hard to navigate
…ummm, RMN I think you may have been less successful than you think.

I think it might go over better if you
made some comment about the post and then threw in the rest as an aside. Otherwise you come across as the rote FanPost Police even if that’s not your intention (and I know it really isn’t).
You don't have to apologize
and nobody said “worthless”
Fanposts don’t get as many reads as articles and the article commentary, and there are a lot more people to commiserate with in those discussion threads.

Don't be sorry
I totally understand your post. As for the Rockpile/Game Thread stuff, just let me say that you’ll have to wade through a considerable OT comments and wannabe Tweets to get heard these days. That was a heart breaker last night to be sure. Stick around. All in all, Purple Row is the place to be if you’re a Rockies fan. Welcome!
Get your purple on.
After thinking about that comment...
I realized that it would probably comes across snarkier and more bitter than I intended. Sorry. Let me just reiterate “Welcome!”.
Get your purple on.
That was unbelievably painful.............for sure
Watching that 9 run inning in person was like getting your heart torn out. I can’t believe they almost came back and won too….
Honestly, I think our wild card hopes are dashed, but our division hopes are actually much better than this point. That’s what I’m focused on.
Yes, I actually do like cricket. I'm Indian.
Rockies are actually zombies. And they're coming to hunt you down just when you think they're buried.
