Yoenis Cespedes wants to play for the Rockies!
Cuddyer who??
If you haven't seen the epic promotional video for Cuban OF Yoenis Cespedes yet, please do so now. Besides being hilarious, it has done a great job of marketing Cespedes, making him a hot free agent this offseason. Casual viewers might have missed it, but the video included a subtle hint that reveals which MLB franchise Cespedes would prefer to join...
Twice during the video, an Indiana Jones map effect is used to track the Cuban defector's travels, as he chooses the Dominican Republic to showcase his abilities to the world (at 6:05), and ultimately looks to end up in the United States (at 16:00). In the second flight sequence, Cespedes subconsciously reveals the team with which he wants to sign. Before a giant question mark appears on the screen, a red dot marks the outfielder's intended destination. To wit:

At first, it seems like the red dot is not located on any of the 30 MLB teams. However, thanks to the magic of Google Earth, the precise location is made clear:

That's right! The little red dot hovers over Tulsa, Oklahoma, home of the Rockies' AA affiliate Tulsa Drillers. "The Showcase" is much more than a promotional video. Yoenis Cespedes is reaching out to the Rockies franchise, in hopes that he can help resurrect Rocktober!
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Holy smokes, you're right...
This is so obvious and not at all flawed or presumtuous, Pioneer Skies. It’s almost like you’ve cracked the Da Vinci Code (which was also a perfectly reasonable and historically accurate text) or something. This is going to make the outfield mix a little trickier for Tracy to juggle, but now I’m wondering if the Cuddyer signing was just a precursor to a trade for Yu Darvish.
This makes sense to me because I was just noticing the other day that Yu Darvish, Nippon Ham Fighters is an anagram for “O hai Dnver, u ar mighty pop’n fish.” All of this time, he was trying to tell us that he was coming here in LOLcat speak, but since none of us speak that language, we never got the message.
YES!
I’m glad that SOMEONE else understands!
