Partially OT: Information Needed
This isn't directly related to the Rockies in some parts but bear with me. After starting my college career at Wayne State College I have come to the conclusion that it will probably be best for me to transfer to another school (details here are not needed). One school that I found that I am really interested in would be Colorado College. I was born in Colorado Springs and I think it would be cool to return. So with this in mind I have a couple of questions I want to ask the Rowbots:
1). Does anyone have any information they can give me about CC?
2). How much do single game Rockies tickets cost? (See, there's the baseball part of it).
Thanks,

What kind of info on CC are you looking for?
Here are some basics. I’m sure an actual graduate could give you more detail.
It’s a small liberal arts college that uses a block scheduling system. Basically, you take only one class at a time, but devote all of your academic work to that class for the few weeks it runs. Over the course of your four years at the school, you take 32 classes.
As a top-flight liberal arts school, it’s quite expensive (about $40,000 a year in tuition and another $10,000 in fees). It’s also highly selective, as it only admits 33% of applicants. At only 2,000 students, it’s quite small, also.
As for Rockies tickets… The Rockpile costs $4 for one person. That’s the cheapest seat in Major League Baseball. You can spend a lot more for better seats, of course.

CC… beautiful campus, just outside downtown Colorado Springs. Great hockey school if you’re into that – they’re nationally ranked about every season. Aside from hockey and women’s soccer they play Division III sports. My alma mater was in their conference when I was in school.
Plenty to do in the Springs, and it’s only 45-60 minutes from Denver. And as long as StubHub exists, the correct answer to ’How much are Rockies tickets?" is another question – “How much do you want to pay?”

I’m looking for more than the basic information then what you can find online. And I’m looking to spend not too much until I’d be able to figure out if I could get a job there.

I may have misunderstood your post... Are you looking to attend CC or are you hoping to work there?

That was my bad, I worded that lost post horribly. I am looking to attend college there, but how much Im willing to spend on tickets depends on if I can get a job somewhere in CO Springs

Personally, I think that Colorado College is a very overpriced Liberal Arts College.
There are better colleges here in the area that have a very good curriculum for a more reasonable price. We have Regis College, College America, Colorado Technical University and more. Just do a search for colleges in the Colorado Springs area. We get reasonably priced tickets through Stub Hub. You and also get pretty good seats for around $12 each with a $50 purchase at King Soopers Supermarket. I have found that getting reasonably priced game tickets is not too difficult.
Good luck with the job search.

Will the good 2012 ever get here?
I'm right there with you - way overpriced
My friend goes there and LOVES it, but its a good thing she’s brilliant – you’d have to be a doctor to pay off your loans after you graduate.

Why has nobody mentioned
the Sky Sox yet. They have pretty cheap tickets (especially on Tuesday nights) and the games can be fun to watch, even if the best prospects aren’t there because the teams will have players with MLB experience. They are fun and it’s baseball. Check them out if you go to CC

Despite growing up in Colorado, I never went to see the Sky Sox
That said, I went to see the Albuquerque Isotopes a few times when I was in college in New Mexico, and AAA baseball is a blast. It’s much cheaper, the seats are all amazing, and the baseball is not that far below ML quality. Plus, the combination of washed-up MLers hoping for a second chance, current MLers on rehab assignments, and top prospects is hilarious and awesome. In one game you’ll have multiple “hey, this guy could become something” and “hey, I didn’t know this guy was still around” moments. It’s great.
