Rockies franchise open in dynasty league

Stay connected for news and updates

We've had a 28 team dynasty league going on since 2005, and turnover is something we usually have to deal with in the offseason.  But the Rockies owner just bailed on us, and I was wondering if anyone here wanted to take a stab at running the team. It is a 6x6 H2H categories (5X5 + OBP/HLDS), with minor league rosters that come directly from your parent team's real life draft each year (plus trades or whatever else).  It is a contract league with max 5 year deals, and cheap rookie contracts for minor leaguers which end 4 years after the year they cross 50 career major league IP or 130 major league AB.  There are a few different ways to keep players at discounts as well.

Anyway the particular team is in slightly rough shape, so we'd like a owner who really wants to rebuild the organization.  Young guys like Tulo, Jimenez, Stewart, and Fowler have been traded away (and Cargo who was never property of the Rockies), but you'd have Alex Rios, Mark Teixeira, and others to build around with ways to keep them for the next few years or trade them for longer term values.  Most players in the minors would still be with the team, the only major exceptions that I can think of are Chris Nelson and Charlie Blackmon, so the future of the team will be very influenced by the real life Rockies.

I can give anyone more info if they are interested, but free agency (slow auction) starts Feb 5th, so we are kind of in a rush to get someone.
